Mike's englischer Track-Titel „Light in the Distance" hat eine besondere Akustik im Englischen. Das Wort „distance" trägt sowohl räumliche als auch zeitliche Bedeutung. Das Licht ist noch fern — aber es kommt.
Matthäus 4,16 zitiert Jesaja: „The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned." Yeshuas Auftreten in Galiläa erfüllte diese Verheißung.
Im englischen Sprachraum hat das Wort „hope" eine besondere Bedeutung. Es ist nicht nur Wunsch, nicht nur Erwartung — es ist substanzielle Hoffnung, die im New Testament als elpís (ἐλπίς) übersetzt wird. „Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life" (Sprüche 13,12 in englischer Übersetzung).
Mike's Track ist musikalische Anwendung dieser Hoffnungs-Realität. In der Nacht (Track 4) wird Licht sichtbar (Track 5). Noch in der Distanz, aber real. Wachsend. Kommt näher. Mike's Sound trägt diese Hoffnungs-Bewegung als englische Brücke vom Dunklen zum Hellen.
