„Un-breakable" is Mike's English companion to the German „Unzerbrechlich" album. Both share the core conviction — what God has put in you cannot be broken — but they are not translations of each other. The English version has its own track list, its own rhythm, its own way of carrying the message.
The hyphen in „Un-breakable" is intentional. The word emphasizes the prefix un-. Not breakable. The English word feels stronger than its dictionary meaning suggests. It carries a hint of defiance: „Yeah, you can try."
Track 1 „Because You Matter" is the theological opening. In a world that constantly measures your worth by what you produce, what you own, what you look like — God's measure is different. Matthew 10,30: „And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered." Numbered. Counted. Registered. Wanted. You matter because He counted you in.
„When It All Falls" matches the German „Alles fällt" — but with English bluntness. Mike doesn't pretend things won't fall. In this world, they will. The question is: what remains when they do? The answer follows.
„Just One Step" is the English breath-distance: God is never further than one step away. James 4,8: „Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." That's mechanics, not poetry. The Father waits in the next step, not in a thousand.
„So Light" takes Yeshua at his word (Mt 11,30): „My yoke is easy and my burden is light." The English word light doubles as „not heavy" and „luminous". Both senses apply. The burden of being a son is light because it's also full of light.
„The Light Remains" and „The Light Stays" are two tracks that hammer the same nail: John 1,5 — „The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." Present tense, in English. The light is shining, right now. Has been shining since the beginning. Will be shining when this world ends. The light remains.
„If You Only Knew" is the whisper-moment of the album. If you only knew what God has placed in you. If you only saw how the Father looks at you. The English „if you only knew" has a particular kind of intimacy — soft, but searching. Mike chose this title carefully.
„More Than This" and „Between the Lines" open the horizon. You are more than what you currently see. Colossians 3,3: „For you have died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." There's a layer of your existence not visible on this earth — but more real than everything visible.
The title track „Un-breakable" bundles the message: 2. Cor 4,8-9 in English — „We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." Strikable, but not destroyable. Hittable, but not breakable. Christ in you holds.
The album closes with „What Remains" — Mike's English question that ends his German album too. What remains when everything falls? The answer runs through the whole album: He remains. You in Him remain. The love remains. The light remains. You are un-breakable, because you are held by the One who cannot be broken.
